Tourists come from other stations and have no separate reputation track. Their interest in local food, souvenirs and small weapons makes their current request more useful than treating them as another faction to level.

The customer reference describes snacks, relaxation goods, scrap souvenirs and display weapons as tourist interests. Those examples do not mean every tourist buys every tagged item. Read the request and budget before diverting useful production stock into a souvenir sale.

Avoid outdated tourist-tax tricks
UPDATE 049 fixes Tourist Tax remaining on an item for later sales to other customer types. A tourist-specific modifier is not a permanent item upgrade. The same update explicitly says tourists do not accept Premium Spring Water despite that product gaining the Water tag.
