How the rent slide works
The official game description says rent rises over time regardless of how well the week went. If the shop falls behind, attractiveness can drop, fewer customers can enter and revenue can decline.
That sequence matters because lower traffic makes the next rent payment harder, which can push the shop toward riskier deals just to stabilize cash flow.

Margin is not the same as safety
High-margin products can carry stronger consequences. Merchandise may be confiscated, fail inspection or simply not sell. A large advertised return does not protect the rent reserve if the downside lands first.
A decision framework without fake numbers
- Keep the next obligation visible before tying cash up in inventory
- Judge merchandise by downside as well as possible margin
- Account for inspection, quality and demand risk before expanding a product line
- Treat a recovering customer flow as part of the money problem, not only a sales target
What remains build-dependent
This page does not prescribe a daily income target, perfect inventory ratio or universal rent schedule. The reviewed official material establishes the pressure system but not stable Playtest values.
