Event Price Changes
Last checked: · Demo reference; exact event build not stated
Direct answer
An event headline is a market signal, not a complete price formula. Compare the same item before and after the event, recording quality and quoted transaction type. The percentage change is (new quote − old quote) ÷ old quote × 100; a zero baseline has no defined percentage.
Make a like-for-like comparison
Do not compare a supplier asking price with a customer buying offer and call the difference an event modifier. Keep item identity, quality and condition consistent, and note whether another event is active.
Read direction without inventing a multiplier
The reference connects a good Nutrifruit harvest with lower Food prices, a bad harvest with higher Food prices and a water surplus with lower Water prices. It does not provide a reliable universal multiplier for every record.
Use the comparison tool for measured quotes. A positive change does not establish profitable arbitrage unless the replacement cost, preparation cost and actual sale are also known.
