Furnace Processing Modules
Last checked: · 049-Rev3-L (reference-reported)
Direct answer
Furnace-specific modules change recipes, not merely a general production percentage. The reference lists Junk Processing as six Junk to four Scrap Metal and Blast Furnace as three inputs to two outputs per night with a purity trade-off.
Choose the route for your materials
Use Junk Processing when the resource problem is converting Junk into scrap. Use the Blast Furnace route only after considering its lower-purity output. Owning more input does not guarantee better earnings if the output quality falls below what the eventual buyer values.
| Junk Processing | 6 Junk → 4 Scrap Metal |
|---|---|
| Blast Furnace | 3 inputs → 2 outputs; lower purity |
| Furnace Performance | No effect in instruction reference |
Distinguish a historical power bug
Playtest 48.3.12 fixed Junk Processing secretly consuming twice its displayed power. That is a dated correction, not a current recipe multiplier. If observed consumption differs in the Demo, record the installed modules and build rather than doubling every calculator value by default.
