Disposable Keycard Production
Last checked: · 049-Rev3-L (reference-reported)
Direct answer
Cryptographic Desequencer production uses a matching chip and blank disposable cards. UPDATE 049 removes Supply and Science keycards and chips from stock because their supply crates are absent; these shelved types should not be treated as a current production target.
Check the chip and input slot
The machine reference connects the desequencer to disposable-card production. Official notes let owned crypto modules swap by dragging one onto another. Historical 48.3.10 disallowed putting blank cards into the output slot, so that slot is not an alternative input route.
| Shelved stock types | Supply and Science |

Keep production separate from exchange
Command cards and department cards have different exchange roles. The reference lists one Command card for a random Security, Medical or Engineering card; active promotions can instead consume particular department cards for crates. Decide which result you need before using a card, and do not assume the resulting crate is already unlocked.
