Animal cage repair calculator
Last checked: · UPDATE 049 (public baseline)
Direct answer
UPDATE 049 says each scrap repair restores fifty percent of an Animal Cage’s maximum durability. Enter the cage’s observed maximum, current durability and a whole number of repairs. The calculator caps its planning result at the entered maximum and reports the amount restored.
Session only: refreshing or leaving this page clears entries. Nothing is saved or sent to the game.
Enter your own observed values, using consistent units. No game prices or recipes are prefilled.
Use the current maximum
The official patch note replaced a flat fifty-point repair with fifty percent of maximum durability. A cage with a different maximum therefore has a different uncapped repair amount. Read the current maximum from your run, especially after an upgrade.
| Official scrap repair rule | 50% of maximum durability |
|---|---|
| Official ingot size upgrade change | +20 maximum durability and +20 current durability |
Understand the cap
The planner uses minimum(maximum, current + repairs × maximum ÷ 2). For a hypothetical maximum of 200 and current durability of 30, one repair gives 130. Starting at 150 gives 200 after capping, not 250. The cap is a planning convention; compare it with your actual repair result.
What is not forecast
The official note says wear scales with the size of living animals; dead animals, cage equipment and other stored items cause no wear. This tool does not estimate future wear or time until failure. Current durability greater than maximum and fractional repair counts are rejected.
