Stock scenario ledger

Last checked: · UPDATE 049 (public baseline)

Direct answer

Enter quantity, unit cost and unit sale value for one stock line. The ledger multiplies quantity by each unit value and subtracts total cost from total sales. It is a single-line scenario worksheet, not persistent bookkeeping or a forecast of what customers will pay.

Session only: refreshing or leaving this page clears entries. Nothing is saved or sent to the game.

Enter your own observed values, using consistent units. No game prices or recipes are prefilled.

Enter a non-negative finite number in every field.

Record one consistent stock line

Use the same unit basis for quantity, cost and sale value. If your values describe individual items, enter the number of items. If they describe a divisible measured resource, use the matching quantity unit. All amounts must be finite and non-negative.

Interpret profit and margin

Gross profit excludes any costs you have not included in the unit cost. Margin is gross profit divided by the total sale scenario. A zero quantity or zero sale value makes margin undefined. Selling below unit cost produces a negative profit and, where defined, negative margin.

Compare observed offers

Change the unit sale value to compare an offer with your cost basis. This tool does not infer market demand, bargaining effects or event pricing. It retains only the current page session; copy records into your own ledger before refreshing.
