Telephone ordering and visiting suppliers are different procurement channels. UPDATE 049 makes phone-book quick dial connect immediately when the contact will answer and skip the greeting; it does not promise that every contact or product is always available.
Confirm the order before planning production
Read the live conversation and resulting order state rather than assuming a dial tone means delivery is committed. Historical Playtest 48.3.10 fixed supplies not registering when the player hung up too early. If that symptom recurs, preserve the order sequence and build for a report.

Maintain a second supply route
The structured visiting-supplier routine ties water and wine inputs to their training unlocks and uses variable stock. Keep a buffer of critical containers, yeast, filters or batteries rather than depending on one telephone action and one visitor on the same day.
