Water filters are not interchangeable with a purifier. The structured Demo reference reports contaminant-specific pore checks, removal steps and durability charges, so a filter's remaining life cannot be predicted from bottle count alone.
Check compatibility and contamination
Read the actual filter and receiving-container descriptions before applying a filter. An eligible contaminant must meet the filter's pore-size check; removal then proceeds in steps until its limit or available durability is reached. A partly completed final step still costs a full step.

Keep UV behavior separate
UV filtration follows a different branch from ordinary filtration in the reference. UPDATE 049 explicitly prevents applying a UV filter to unowned goods and fixes water-ration pouring that previously skipped filtration. Purchase ownership and treatment behavior are separate checks; do not assume the old free-use behavior remains.
