Wine Quality and Master Vintage
Last checked: · 049-Rev3-L (reference-reported)
Direct answer
In the structured Demo reference, BloomBerry wine quality is a score built from berry condition, berry count, yeast and water grade. Stronger yeast does not supply an extra quality point; High Quality and Pure Water each give the same one-point water bonus.
Add the quality contributions
A healthy small berry contributes two points and a healthy normal berry one. Underripe or overripe fruit contributes zero; moldy fruit subtracts one. Two or more berries add one more point, yeast adds one, and water contributes its grade adjustment.
| Water: Pure / High Quality | Both +1 |
|---|---|
| Basewater / Ghostwater | 0 / −1 |
| Rustwater / Gutterflow | −2 / −3 |
| Grades | ≤0 Undrinkable; 1 Bucket Brew; 2 Homebrew; 3–4 Production; 5 Reserve; ≥6 Master Vintage |
Compare recipes without overpaying
Two normal healthy berries with yeast and High Quality Water total five: Reserve. Replacing one with a healthy small berry totals six: Master Vintage. Additional points within the same band do not create a new grade. Illegal yeast instead creates contraband GloomBerry wine with score three in the cited build.
