Immediate withdrawal and starting supply
UPDATE 049 makes withdrawal begin immediately and gives a related starting item. You can consume that item or retain it for later; the mere presence of the item in inventory does not establish that the trade penalty is cleared.

Compare operating costs
Each addiction uses its corresponding substance, so these are not interchangeable upkeep items. Budget for the supply you choose rather than treating the extra perk point as costless. UPDATE 049 also fixes the current customer’s trade modifier not updating immediately after consumption.
